Season 1 Episode 4
This one is long, so I apologize. I have a lot to yap about
I made it to texas!!! Tuseday was literally a blur! I had to wake up at 3am, I helped Sister davis get her suitcases to where they needed to be, and then I sprinted back to my building. I was literally so zoomy. I said goodbye to the rest of the sisters at 4 and went to the travel office before waiting an hour to actually leave (rip that hour of sleep I couldve gotten) my travel group was dope sauce we finally made it to the trax and we made it like 2 stops before being stopped for 45 minutes cause there was a sketch dude on the train idk man but I gotta talk to my mom the whole time so im not complaining. I dramatically looked out the window as we passed American Fork. I was a literal unit the whole morning. There was this one sister who kept falling behind, so I helped her out. I was wheeling 4 suitcases and holding 2 bags it was all that spiritual grind that made me strong. I also navigated my whole group through the airport and told them what to do and was really channeling my inner dad and told everyone to have there ids ready and made sure everyone knew how to get through security (dad how many dad points do I get for that?) I was so hungry and I left my card in my big suitcase so I had to use my cash which I didnt want to do but whateva. I played solitare the whole time on the plane and took so many pictures of the mountains. (Please send me pictures of the mountains I miss them)
I made it to texas Woohoo and met the ords who are so sweet. We then went to a church and got some food! Im literally the chickfila girl already, sister ord said she knew I was gonna be awesome sacue cause I worked at chickfila, and then she called me a girlboss cause I had a higher position than Jordan For those who dont know Jordan, he used to work at chickfila with me and is also in dallas West.
We had a welcome thing, which was cool. Sister Ord gave me like 6 stickers, and then I met my trainer, Sister DeLara, and she is seriously so cool. Usually, you dont get to drive until the second transfer, but Sister DeLara doesn't know how to drive, so I got the keys, lol. I actually hate the roads here they are dumb and they have these dumb things called toll roads where you have to pay to get on the freeway. Besdies that I love texas!! My first day here we went to a New Years Eve party and I got to meet some of the members, I was only half there cause I was so tired. We went back to our apartment, and I was out!
I've only met a few people, but I already love all of them so much. We have a baptism this week, which I am so excited I get to be a part of even tho im new. Everytime ive told a member ive been here less than a week, they always say it doesn't seem like it, so imma take it as a compliment, yipeee. The savages are the most awesome people ever. Brother savage really reminds me of my dad, but if he was cat crazy. They are both converts and just have amazing testimonies. And brother savage makes the best eggs I've ever had in my whole life.
I had my first district council, and my district is so wee its me and my companion and then 4 elders who are all silly gooses one of them says bettington probably every 3 sentences. After the district council, they do this thing called hot seats, where you sit in front of everyone, and for 3 minutes, they get to ask you any questions they want, and you have to answer truthfully. So that's slay, I guess
The pippins are the best people ever!!!! Her food storage unit is massive and theres supposed to be a freeze this upcoming weekend which means you might not get to leave your house depending on how bad it is so she had us go grocery shopping at her house
Sunday was lit we had a bappy, and I've never seen my comp more stressed she was running all over, trying to make sure everything was perfect, but it went great, and Heaven got baptized yipeee!
Texas cold is no joke I don't know if I've ever been so cold in my whole life you literally feel the ice in your bones
Ok, spiritual thought:
2 Nephi 9:52
"Behold my beloved brethren, remember the words of your god; pray unto him countinually by day, and give thanks unto his holy name by night. Let your hearts rejoice. I've really been diving into 2nd nephi this week, and it has brought me so much closer to christ and gave me the reminder that I needed to reach out to god always.
